Liquidpub dissemination strategy
This web page describes the dissemination strategy of LiquidPub. More details about keynotes, invited talks, panels, etc, organized by LiquidPub can be found in News and Events page of this website.
This document presents the dissemination strategy for the LiquidPub project. It describes the three phases of the dissemination aiming at achieving dissemination goals and reaching target communities by applying specific instruments for the information exchange.
During the 1st phase (M0 – M12) of the project, the main focus of the dissemination activities was on the project internal information transfer between project partners. It enabled creation of common understanding of issues addressed within the project and formed a basis for the work alignment and future collaboration. Therefore, during the first phase of dissemination the emphasis was put on the organization of the scientific sessions (project-internal tutorials on developed concepts). Moreover, in order to leverage research to a higher level and benefit from experience of the on-going or just finished European projects e.g. (OKKAM, TGE-Adonis, Live Memories, eRep). In addition to that, external dissemination activities were initiated in the form of broadcasting project objectives and first outcomes to scientific community via keynote and invited talks (at FET events, ESWC’09), organization of the first workshop on Scientific Knowledge Creation, Dissemination, and Evaluation, posters (at CERN workshop on Innovations in Scholarly Communication ‘09) and the website. Project results have been published in the form of technical reports and at several conferences in different fields: philosophy and computing, computer ethics, knowledge management, scholarly communication, open source software, data engineering, complex sciences, digital information management, digital libraries, trust and reputation, recommendations.
The second phase (M13 – M24) of dissemination activities are mainly devoted to the introduction of the first project outcomes to the research community and industry. In order to achieve this aim, the LiquidPub partners have organized the second workshop on Scientific Knowledge Creation, Dissemination and Evaluation and keynotes at ECOWS'09 and in Politechnico di Milano. These activities have already started in the first phase of the project. Moreover, in this period the emphasis has been put on the creation of awareness of the LiquidPub technologies among practitioners. This has been achieved by participation of the LiquidPub representatives in the ICT events targeted at this level and collaboration with other projects and research groups (see Collaboration).
The third phase (M24-M36) will mainly focus on addressing users that could benefit from the research outcomes and tools developed within the project. Therefore, in this period demonstration activities during fairs, industry workshops as well as exploitation plans development together with training activities will be carried out.
Each phase has its own characteristics and different dissemination instruments to be utilized. However, instant dissemination activities via the webpage and at various events through posters, leaflets and presentations will be taking place during the entire project lifecycle.
